Results
Many many people are now involved and checking each box remains a very time-consuming but vital part of the project. A special thanks to the volunteers that came to help with:
- Distributing boxes and sharing this project amongst friends, family and colleagues
- Covering normal shoeboxes with colourful paper
- Dropping off extra contents for boxes, like school stationery, soap, face-cloths and cuddly toys
- Collecting, checking boxes and dropping off boxes
- Delivering, loading and unloading boxes
Additional Information
Every box needs to be checked against a list of authorised and prohibited items provided by the organisation. All extras that we had to remove from the boxes like sweets, chocolate, fragile items made of glass and various other items, we have collected and will send to another project in Hungary.
For 2025 Age of Hope will use our donations to pack their own boxes to focus on very poor children and orphans and also victims of human trafficking and sexual abuse, many who are living in safe houses. https://aoh.hu/
